A Day at the Races...

Yesterday we spent the day at NASCAR. I wasn't way excited to go but I quickly changed my mind once we got there. Tanner got free tickets from work and it included a box suite. Free food and drinks all day long, great comfy seats, not too loud and the kids could run around. Definitely the way to NASCAR it up. Watching these races on t.v is soooo boring. It does not do it justice. It is unbelievable how fast these cars go and how stinkin LOUD they are. It's just crazy.
Before the race started Tan and his brother got to go down "pit row." They said it was awesome. I think the only reason they said that was because Danika Patrick walked right past them. You don't have to be a NASCAR fan to know who she is.

I learned some things about the race today. There were 40 cars racing, all boys except 2. They made 200 laps! That's a lot. It took about 2 1/2 hours. There weren't any cool crashes, just a couple of guys who ran into walls and had to drop out the race but nothing too exciting.

Coop Man LOVED LOVED the cars! When we first got there they were just doing the qualifying rounds so just one car would lap a few times. Everytime a car would pass us Coop would look at us and get so excited. Such a boy. And he has officially entered into the cheesy smile stage.

Me and the kids went and walked around outside while Tan was hanging out with Danika. This is how they walked around, fingers in ears because it was too loud. It really wasn't way loud where we were but Addie is a little dramatic and Coop just copies everything she does. Cute none the less and every body was getting a kick out them.

We were there 5 hours and the kids did awesome. Coop didn't even nap until about 20 minutes to the end. They just played with their souviner cars dad got them and ate cookies and craisins. I didn't even get bored either. It was really fun! I would recommend a day at the races to anyone!
